what is my london diary?
a record of my day to day wanderings in and around london, camera in hand
and some of my comments which may be related to these - or not
things i've found and perhaps things people tell me.
if I really knew what this site was i wouldn't bother to write it.
it's london, it's part of my life,
but mainly pictures, arranged day by day, ordered by month and year.

some of my work gets put into nice organised websites.
this isn't meant to be like that, but you can see some of the rest at
london pictures
londons industrial history
and you can read what I think about photography at

for licences to reproduce pictures or to buy prints or comment on the work,

These pictures are often not the best picture I took in any month, but simply one of the pictures from each month that was chosen to represent one of the events I covered. These are not always the strongest pictures and in particular I've always avoided using portrait format images on these pages. The captions are also from the monthly pages, and may not make much sense out of context - but you can find more about these pictures and others by following the links to each month.
