stoke newington has a large midsummer festival with a street fair along the length of church street and events in clissold park.
as you can see, the weather was typical english summer.

the following weekend there was a march from kennington to
brockwell park brixton in support of the legalisation of cannabis. shortly
after i took the picture on this page there was a torrential thunderstorm.
several of the films i took that day were ruined when water got into one of
my lenses. the rain didn't stop people having fun on the march but those hoping
to picnic in the park probably got rather wet.

the pride march is one of the great events in London, both for the number of people taking part and also because people are determined to have fun. its a great event to photograph. more pictures
