The out-sourced workers now almost all belong to the United Voices
of the World union and there is an almost
full turnout for the strike rally.

Cleaners, porters and caterers are united in calling for equality
with directly employed workers at similar levels

but others manage to make a great deal of noise without amplification
'Strike for equality', 'Equality for Outsourced Workers', 'No More
Poverty Wages' - the demands are clear
Low paid workers have long been neglected - as the UVW t-shirt says
they are 'No Longer Invisibles' thanks to
the work of grass roots unions including the UVW.
