Security guards were standing every few yards in front of the garden
a few yards from the camp
People were keeping warm around a brazier
Banners and placards were being got ready for the march

The march goes past the fortified garden. 24hr secuity is costing
Lewisham a small fortune - perhsp £30,000 a day
'Deptford Needs to Breathe!'

and Class War's Lucy Parsons banner 'We must devastate the avenues
where the wealthy live'
Mayor Damien Egan in April promised "No Sale of Council Land"
but now is selling it - or giving it away

Almost 10,000 premature deaths every year

People stand on the road and breifly stop a few cars before letting
them move on
Some people have gone into the meeting while more protest outside,
here in front and around the corner
