DSEi Arms Fair protest Israeli Arms Sales

Excel London,Royal Victoria Dock. Mon 7 Sep 2015


 
 On my way to the protest outside Excel London I changed at Canning Town, where the station has a view of Bow Creek

 Police came to talk with the protesters as they set up camp for the week of protests

 A banner on a traffic island 'UK: exporting conflict & repression'

 Getting ready the 'Israeli Pavillion of Shame'

 

 Writing labels for the rockets and bombs in the 'Israeli Pavillion of Shame'

 Setting up tents. The protesters arrived to find the roundabout had been fenced off, possibly illegally, by Excel

D. Eath and C. Arnage were the sales persons in the 'Israeli Pavillion of Shame'

 

Banners included several with the message 'Stop Arming Israel' and one 'If I can't Dabke Dance Its Not My Revolution' 

Sales reps from the (fictional) Israeli company 'Killing Machines 'R' Us' 

People get around in a circle away from the police to discuss the day's actions  

One of the gazebos was covered with square 'Remembering those killed by drones in Gaza'
