March for Homes: Shoreditch to City Hall

London. Sat 31 Jan 2015

Class War had come to near the front of the march and swung away from it at Whitechapel High St to protest

outside One Commercial St. They had suspended their protests here against separate doors for rich and poor

residents when new ownder Taylor MacWilliams promised talks. But when they met in January, it was clear

that he was not prepared to end the two doors policy, and after a short meeting they decided to restart the campaign

So 'Class War - We're Back!' was a very appropriate banner

Lisa's red jacket recalls the arrest here of Jane Nicoll on November 5th when she was wearing a red coat

and at subsequent protests the 'Class War Women's Death Brigade' came dressed in red

though Jane was prevented from attending because of her bail conditions.

Police and CPS have decided to go ahead with Jane's prosecution,

and her case for 'setting fire on a public highway' is due to be heard on Election Day, May 7th

If this case is brought under the Highways Act 1980, it could be punishable by a fine of up to £1000

The protesters left to rejoin the march after a few minutes
