'Tin Pan Alley' 12 Bar club faces eviction

Denmark St, London. Thu 29 Jan 2015

  
 
 Denmark St used to be the centre of the UK music industry.

 Enterprise Studios used to be the only affodable practice space in Central London

 
      
 And everyone on the music scene at some time played at the 12Bar
      
 

 

 There was live music inside the occupied 12Bar when I visited. Others were reading and using computers

 
 
Parts were very dark 

and squatting isn't always too tidy 

'Occupy + Resist' . There are 1.5 million empty properties in the UK and 120,000 homeless people
'Squat the Lot - Homes for All - Viva the Uprising 2015' 

 

The Ligaments - Nicola 'Nitro' Itro, Jake Maxwell & Zel Kaute - played last on the last night of the 12Bar
and came back to play during the occupation
