International Workers Memorial Day

London, April 28, 2006

Police get awkward on Tooley St. Trying to get the march off the street, the police intervention actually stopped the march for a while, causing more traffic chaos than had they taken no action. It was a typically mindless provocation.

Everything came to a halt while police and demonstrators argued. Had these two not arrived the march would have cleared the street several minutes faster than it eventually did. This guy seemed much more concerned with 'laying down the law' that with behaving sensibly toward the public.

Marchers struggled to keep banners moving in the strong wind around City Hall
