I was back at Royal Exchange on a wet afternoon with a number of black-clad
protesters, mainly from the
Green Anticapitalist Front.
Many were masked and carried black flags on stout poles
Fight Racism Fight Imperialism banner with the message Smash Capitalism.
Behind it is the Bank of England
'System Change Not Climate Change' and a lengthy poster
The protesters wait for more to arrive. But perhaps the weather had
put some off, though for a few minutes it
was only light rain.
The rain got heavier shortly before
the march set off.
It was now pouring with rain, and the group was marching fast
I was having problems going backwards at their speed to take pictures
Some of the police were having problems in keeping up with the group
too
And just after I made this picture in Ave Maria Lane, the protesters set
off at a fast running pace....
