After the protest against Trump's deal at the US Embassy I took
a short walk in Nine Elms, starting on the
Thames Path. A few years ago I photographed the regular delivery of
sand and gravel to this jetty.
Across the river are views of Pimlico
Dolphin Square
US Embassy from Thames Path
Moorings and view towards Vauxhall Bridge
More moorings beside a long concrete jetty
The Thames Path has to leave the riverside here
Work is taking place for the Thames tunnel to carry sewage as well
as in the distance the former power station
The power station is now the centre of a huge building site
You can walk back to the Thames along this road
but I stayed on the main road.
Building is taking place for a new underground station on an extension
From the top deck of a bus you get a view of the building site
More building is taking place to the south side of Nine Elms Lane
which runs past the US Embassy
and yet another building sites
