I met some Brexiteers on Parliament St
and there were rather more in Parliament Square
'We Are Free' says one poster - but clearly we are not, just coming
back to rule by the same elites and
unfortunately less free than when we were part of Europe. We don't
know how Brexit will pan out, but it seems
likely that we will have to accept GM food, chlorinated chicken, more
deaths from salmonella, higher prices for
medicines, our heath service being even more quickly privatised and
much more.
But of course we will be free to wave Union Flags - as we have been
for the past 47 years
People stand on an EU flag
Churchill was one of those who set up Europe
Some of the odder fringe stood apart in the middle of the square
Some had come up from Wales to join in the celebrations. Though I
think Wales has more to lose.
