Santas and Elved met in the graffiti tunnel at Leake St, under Waterloo
Station
A man with two reindeers on his bike
and another bike has fairly lights and a Santa on the handlebars
Numbers rose as the time to leave approached
Santa's Little Helper
'Merry Christmas'
A Santa with lit up shoes
And one man gets a dressing down for not following the Santa dress
code, though he is wearing a Christmas jumper
By the time the ride was due to start the tunnel was pretty full and
there were more at the back on the Taxi Road
Santas line up ready to start
and after a long wait they are off
They kept on coming
and more
But the first stage of the ride was very short - just across the road
to Forum Magnum Square
Where they lined up around all four sides leaving an arena in the
centre
where riders could demonstrate their skills
doing things on bikes they were not designed for
Feet up on the bar and no hands
I left to go to a protest in Parliament Square while the display was continuing,
They were then going to ride around
Central London for several hours, and I hoped to see them again, but didn't
manage to do so.
