Brutal repression by the state of protests in Chile have resulted
in over 20 deaths and thousands of injuries
Protests began over rises in the cost of living which were part of
a package agreed by the government with the IMF
The protests rapidly developed into wider issues calling for the resignation
of President Piñera.
and an end to human rights violations

with at least 20 deaths now reported and over two thousand seriously
injured.
