As people slowly left the rally a group of protesters including many
students formed up behind two banners
from the student Climate Strike and I joined them. Other groups marched
into the West End.
'No coup de twat' and the inevitable smoke flare
A woman marches with a poster of Amber Rudd and the message 'Hastings
says SHAME ON YOU'
More smoke as the march moves off
and goes down Whitehall Place to avoid blocking by police at the top
of Whitehall
and then up Craven St to the Strand.
The march turned on to Waterloo Bridge
and walked to the centre of the bridge
Where they sat down, blocking the bridge
There was a lot of shouting slogans in defence of democracy
and some short speeches
A few police had marched with them and stood watching, but there were too
few to clear the road. I decided I was tired and it was time to leave and
walked to Waterloo Station as more police were arriving.
