People are making a giant chalk rainbow on the pavement in front of
the Polish Embassy
for a protest against the increasing threat facing LGBTQ+ people in
Poland where government and local
authorities are mounting an anti-gay campaign, declaring some places
'no go' areas for them and
encouraging attacks against them.

The governing right-wing Law & Justice Party and the Catholic
Church have accused LGBTQ+ people
of being a threat to children and to Poland itself and individuals and Pride
events attacked by nationalists
Polish Rainbow in UK were one of the groups organising the event in
solidarity with those in Poland
and it was supported by people from other groups including Lesbians
Against Pit Closures,
Lesbians and Gays Support The Miners, Stand Up to Racism and Unite
Against Fascism
