Another protest had been organised for the early evening in Trafalgar
Square. 'Stop State terror in Jammu & Kashmir'
'Resistance is Existence - Free Kashmir'
A Kashmiri woman speaks about her worries about her family who she
is unable to contact because of the
communications blackout imposed by India - no phones, no internet
in Kashmir - and no reporters.
A large crowd fills the centre of the square
Many wear 'Red for Kashmir'
A poster shows a blood-stained Indian flag with the message 'Modi,
You Have Blood on Your Hands'
and shows Modi and Hitler with devils horns 'Mod: Reincarnation of
Hitler! What's the difference?'
A Kashmiri man begins to speak. There is uproar from parts of the
crowd as he says there should be no Pakistan
flags and just posters and placards supporting Kashmiri freedom
Some push to the front and begin arguing with the event organisers
and things get very heated
witht he crowd shouting too
several police officers move in and try to calm things down
and eventually those who have been protesting move away and the protest
continues
'Modi is a Killer'
Supporters of Pakistan and their claim to Kashmir continue a separate
protest further up the steps
Both groups are against the action by Indian Prime Minister Modi -
and all want India out of Kashmir
