IWGB call for porters at LouLou's to be paid a living wage.
The exclusive private club treats workers badly and has brought in
extra security to escort its wealth members into the club
Drums make sure everyone around notices the IWGB protest
Few club members take the fliers the picket offers them
and some seem pleased that the club pays its workers poorly. They
also get minimal conditions and have been
moved to be employed through an outsourcing company, ACT, which has
worsened their position.
Police protect the club members and fail to stop the security from
assaulting the protesters
The security try to stand in my way so I can't photograph people going
into the club
but this only makes me photograph them more.
Police managed to knock one of the protesters to the ground, though
it might have been accidental
Another wealthy customer - the club subscription is £1800 per
year - goes in past security staff
IWGB's Jason and James complain to a police officer about the security
men. The officer theatens the protesters with arrest.
IWGB protesters keep up shouting at people entering LouLou's
and a woman gets greeted on the street by LouLou's staff who wil escort
her in
