It took me 15 minutes to get into the Underground station so I missed
the start of the tour
and only joined The Merchants of Death Free Walking tour outside G4S's
UK & Ireland Head Office
where there was a short talk about their activities
before they were awarded a 'blue plaque' for their terrible management
of Birmingham prison
Next stop was Rolls-Royce, and again we learnt more about their activities
before they were awarded their plaque for the huge fine they had to
pay in 2017 for bribery and corruption
The next stop on our tour was Buckingham Palace. The Royal Family
play an important part in selling UK arms
around the world, including hosting many dicatators and despots for
State Visits here as well as Royal visits
to dodgy countries around the world.
Prince Andrew was singled out for his services, in arms sales to
corrupt regimes
British arms are playing an important part in killing people in Yemen
and have been used in all major wars this century.
The blue plaque for the palace (complete with spelling mistake) was
simply for their support of King Hamad
in Bahrain in his brutal torture and repression of political opposition
and peaceful protest
and as the palace gates were shut it was left on the Victoria Memorial
in front of the palace.
The tour goes up the steps into Carlton Gardens
and stops at the offices of BAE Systems
who were give a blue plaque reading "Complicit in world's worst
humanitarian crisi through continued arms
sales to Saudi Arabla" who are using them to kill mainly civilians
in Yemen.
Crowds watchng pride made it impossible to go up Lower Regent St tot
he offices of Lockheed Martin in Cunard House
so insted they were given their plaque for over $15 billion of weapon
sales to repressive regimes this year at a distance.
I left the tour which was hoping to get to Northop Grumman's UK Headquarters
here as I had an appointment elsewhere.
