Give Me Five days

Downing St, London. Fri 5 Jul 2019

Labour MP Jess Phillips launched a crowd-funding campaign to bring children to protest at Downing St

from schools that are being forced to close at lunchtime on a Friday to keep within their budgets

The banner they marched under said 'NO TO 4.5 DAY WEEK'

and many had made placards to carry on the march

Many wore t-shirts calling for fully funded schools 5 days a week.

They stopped in front of the gates to Downing St

The protest was organised by campaign group Save Our Schools

Children were invited to speak outside Downing St

Some of the protesters were going in to deliver a message to the door of No 10, but I went home
