Grenfell Silent Walk - 2 Years on

Notting Hill, London. Fri 14 June 201

A man holds flowers outside Notting Hill Methodist Church

where people are gathering for a ceremony to remember the dead and then to march in silence

 'Grenfell Forever in Our Hearts'

 'Hope & Love'

'Grenfell - Just Us'     Right: A man holds a photograph of two of those who were killed in the fire

People wait at the front of the march for it to start

Stewards keep the media some distance away from the marchers

The banner 'United for Grenfell' at the front of the march with Grenfell Tower in the background

 The march begins

It halts for a short time for people to take photographs with the tower behind the marchers

and then continues on to Ladbroke Grove

THe march halts below the statement on the bridge "In The Face Of Injustice Anger Is Justified - #IamReis Morris - #JusticeforGrenfell"

 The Humanity for Grenfell banner

 'Justice Love Unity for Grenfell

Many marchers wear green scarves and carry green hearts

 'Remembrance'

 'Firefighters Demand Justice4Grenfell'

'Ignoring Pleas for Fire Safety? The Murderers Must Pay!'.      Right: A tearful woman holds up a painting 'We Are United - Forever In Our Hearts'

Posters call for criminal charges to be brought against the councillor responsible for the cladding

The Fire Brigades Union banner - Grenfell Never Again. But the government has yet to take the actions that

would have prevented it - tighter building regulations, proper enforcement, fitting sprinklers etc. They have done

nothing - just as they did nothing after a similar earlier fire in Southwark several years earlier.

 FBU General Seretary Matt Wrack

'Justice For Grenfell' - though it seems unlikely there will be real justice, with the authorities protecting the guilty

 Chaplains

'History Is A Set of Lies Agreed Upon...' the sentiment of Bernard Le Bovier de Fontenelle, often attributed to Napoleon

 Dundee Trades Council

A woman carries a placard with the names of the 72 known victims. Some Grenfell residents still believe more died.
