Orange smoke behind the leading banner
and blue behind
the protesters go up the slope to the main entrance to the shopping
centre
and stop on the balcony in front of the entrance, with yellow and
green smoke flares
'Demolish Delancey' the developer
and 'Love the Elephant - Hate Gentrification'
The protesters come back down the slope and decide to visit the market
area
where they stop and a market trader speaks about the poor deal they
are getting
Another man speaks; his sister is one of the traders.
Security officers walk through the crowd
and tell the protesters they cannot protest down here and must leave
the shopping centre area
Slowly the protesters obey the order to leave
and come up the slope to street level. In the background are two giant
posters with elelphants on them.
They return to the paved area close to the Faradat Memorial to continue
the afternoon programme of events.
