Kurds met at the BBC to protest at the threat of Turkish invasion
of Rojava, the Kurdish Democratic Federation of Northeast Syria
after Trump announced the withdrawal of US troops and in support
of the Kurdish hunger strikers in Tirkish jails.
Over 700 political prisoners are on hunger strike, demanding the release
of release of Kurdish leader Abdullah
Ocalan, the right to Kurdish language education and the use of Kurdish
in Turkish courts.

Kurdish MP Leyla Güven was on the 81st day of hunger strike in
a Turkish prison. She was arrested in January
2018 for criticising the Turkish military operation in Afrin and began
her hunger strike for the release of Öcalan
7th November 2018. Released on 25th January before her trial she is
continuing her hunger strike.
