Southwark protest estate demolitions

Southwark Council Offices, London. Wed 28 Nov 2018



 

 
     
 'Don't be SpoonFed - Save our Fed'. The council should listen to residents, not set up fake consultations

 'Fight for the Aylesbury' . Much of the estate is already demolished but the fight goes on

 The council wants to set up a fake 'Resident Involvement Panel' but existing residents organisations have voted to bury it

 

 'Please Save our Council Estate'
     
 A poster lists 10 organisations which have already passed motions against Southwark's fake 'Resident Involvement Panel.

 

 'Southwark Please Listen To Us!'  But residents don't offer expensive trips and meals and lucrative jobs...

 

 

 'Save Our Tenants Movement'

 

 

 A councillor is given an information sheet about what is happening and why people are protesting

 

 and protesters talk to him as he goes into the meeting

 

 'Work in Partnership with Tenant Associations, Empower the tenants'

 Protesters talk with another councillor

 

 

 A campaigner speaks with another councillor, holding a tin of sweets

 Aysen from the Aylesbury Estate holds up a poster showing Peter John, Leader of Southwark Council, with the

 message 'Wanted for Betraying the People of Southwark' and calling him 'Head of Social Cleansing'
