Rivers Saving Network (RSN). Bringing coal to Rampal and the pollution
from it would have a disastrous effect on the rivers
and a coal-fired power station will increase the effect of global
warming, with increased instability of weather
and rising sea levels disastrous for Bangladesh, which already suffers
badly from flooding. And then there are
the Bengal tigers and other species of animals and plants that would
be killed, many made extinct.
Those present were invited to join the Extinction Rebellion protests
, including a large one the following Saturday
As well as the tigers, 'Rampal Will Destroy the Lives of People who
are dependent on the Sunderbans for their Livelihood'
Fossil Free Newham protesters joined the protest
Some people had tiger masks
