Justice For Jamal Khashoggi & Yemen

Mayfair, London. Thu 25 Oct 2018

A police officer with an unnecessarily aggresive stance. Police have a duty to facilitate legal protests like this

and provide reasonable facilities to allow the press to record them. I told him  it was unreasonable to expect us
to work from the opposite side of the road and only needed a couple of cones to make it safe to work from the road.
He threatened me with arrest if I did so, but I was not arrested - and just before the protest ended police did use
tape to make the area safer. But because of cars parked at both ends it was in any case not in use by traffic.

Armed police come to tell the protesters they cannot have the loudspeakers on the embassy side of the road

People shouted slogans without using the microphones

The speakers stood on the opposite side of the road. Hannah Phillips, Arab Organisation of Human Rights

 Lindsey German, Stop the War

 Human Rights lawyer Rhys Davies

 Barrister Ben Keith

 Jenny Lindfield

A woman comes down the street leading three men in Arab dress. All were wearing photograhic masks

The man in red had a bearded mask, I think of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman who most people

are sure would have had to approve sending a team to kill and dismember Khashoggi in Turkey

and he points his bonesaw towards a man in white

Murad Qureshi, Chair of Stop the War Coalition
