UoL #LeadingWomen protest hypocrisy

 'Women United = Never Defeated'

 'Forgotten Leading WOmen - Hear Our Voices'

 'Women of the WOrld Unite'
     
 'Justicia! - Workers and Students United'

 
     
 

 'Cleaners can be Leaders'

 Many of those taking part were from the IWGB and UVW and were (or had been) cleaners

 

 

 

 

 Unions like the IWGB and UVW have led the fight to get a living wage and better conditions for cleaners and other

 low paid workers, many of whom are women and many are migrants

 battle to be brought in house speaks with a colleague standing beside her

 

 

 

 

 

 UVW members had come to support the protest

 'No women's liberation Without socialism; no Socialism without Women's liberation'

 Catherine Mayer withdrew from the University of London #LeadingWomen event when she heard about the IWGB
  protest, deciding to speak at that instead.

 Ayesha Hazarika also withdrew from the University of London #LeadingWomen event and came to speak at the protest
