Shoppers watch as the march goes past
Most people seem to engage little with what is happening in their
area - other than shopping
Young lungs make a loud noise with a vuvuzela
A footbridge takes the march across a busy local road
National Pensioners Convention - London Region on the march
There are huge 1930s estates, largely council built in the area
Trees give a little shade to the marchers as the sun blazed down
finally we were in sight of St Helier Hospital
and moved on to the open space in front of it

Barbara Verey (right) was employed by the NHS for 20 years from 1995-2015
as a Junior Sister
but dismissed after she refused to sign a work placement for a student who
had not completed the placement. Later
a drug chart was altered to allege she had made an error and she was suspended
as schizophrenic. She claims to have
been subjected to race discrimination, bullying and harrassment and was
accused of 'whistleblowing' and forced to resign.
She says she has been failed by the hsopital Trust and the RCN, and that
ACA and the Employment Tribunal have lost
her case papers.
