100 years of Votes for Women

London. Sun 10 Jun 2018

We were all told the march would begin at Marble Arch, but those who waited there were disappointed

and like me had to rush down Park Lane

as although this had been the meeting point it was just to direct people down to the real start

I think most of the women finally made it down Park Lane

where they were coralled into three lanes

and tthen given either green, white or purple scarves to wear

some wore these thin scarves more elegantly than others

The marchers mainly kept to these three streams
