People met outside the Barclays Bank on Tottenham Court Rd, where
the RCG had set up their street stall
'Boycott Israel' poster showing Ahed Tamimi slapping an Israeli soldier
'Victory to the Intifada - Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!'
An umbrella in the colours of the Palestinian flag and the message
'Palestine Will Be Free'
There were some speeches to explain why the protest was taking place
- and why Barclays had been chosen
for their support of Israel.
Another poster called for and end to British Arms Sales to Israel.
A poster with the Barclays eagle and the message 'Largest Global Arms
Trade Investor'
People posed outside Barclays for a group photo with the banner 'Zionism
is Racism - Free Palestine' at its centre
And then moved on to protest outside other stores which are important
supporters of Israel
Next was Boots, just a few doors down. A speaker explained that they
sell beauty products made in Israel
'From everywhere We will Return to Palestine' shows people holding
the keys to the family homes they were forced
from when Israel was founded 70 years ago.
The rolling picket moved on
It stopped outside Carphone Warehouse, another which sells goods that
support Israel
Protesters in the doorway of Carphone Warehouse
In Oxford St, the first stop was outside Zara
where again a short speech explained how Zara supports Israel
Further along Oxford St
the picket stopped outside H&M, another supporter of Israel
I left the rolling picket there as I had to meet friends elsewhere in London.
