and others block the south-bound carriageway

A few people sit on the road
Police begin to clear the south-bound roadway
But on the north bound carriage way people are still standing or sitting
A Syrian surgeon tries to protest on the road, but police tell him
he has to move. He argues he has a right to protest
but slowly the road it getting cleared
a police offier argues with acyclist
then pushes him sideways
almost knocking him flying
a woman who doesn't move is dragged to the pavement
the woman who didn't want to move is thrown to the ground and surrounded
by police
others are moved off
but those on the north-bound carriageway have started to sit down
a police officer tries to get them to move - but they are shouting
too loud to hear her, and it looks as if she is conducting a choir
Several vans of police arrive
There are now enough police to clear the road, but I'm late for another
event and rush away before they do so.
