Heavy snow was falling as I arrive at Malet St
and people were covered with a layer of snow
A speaker addresses the crowd
who stand listening in the snow
Although I kept wiping the lens, many pictures were ruined by snow
on it
and faces often had snow flakes in front of them
but spirits were still running high
and there were still pictures to take
Some arrived in groups, singing and chanting and with some interesting
placards as well as the standard issue
Some took a little thinking about 'Stop Mead-ling with our pensions!
Shaman You!'
A man in a black top hat tolls a bell and pulls a coffin with the
message 'Bury Tory policies - NOT Education'
Édouard Manet's Bar at the Folies-Bergère on a poster
from the Courtauld Institute of Arts
The UCU banner at the head of the protest
'This is a College Not A Casino'
A woman blows a kazoo
in front of the Birkbeck Law School banner
'Do You Believe in Life After Work'
The head of the march goes past Senate House
with the coffin not far behind
'Our Austerity, Their Prosperity. Stop Outsourcing, Respect All Workers'
'Hands off our pension!'
'Furious? I'm FUUKing Raging'
UCU posters 'Our Pension Axed. Support our strike to defend USS'
Another strong flurry of snow hits the marchers
