Class War's Lambeth Walk for housing

Southwark, London, Sat 24 Feb 2018

Class War meet up on Potter's Fields, next to City Hall

And Martin Wright speaks about the housing problem in London

and the many empty properties owned as investments by overseas investors

There are enough homes in London - but increasingly only the ultra-rich can afford to live in them - but many

leave them empty all or most of the time, watching their value increase

The RCG - Revolutionary Communist Group came to support Class War, bringing their banner with its message
'Housing is a Right - Not A privilege'

Class War's banner had a quototation from US anarchist Lucy Parsons "We must devastate the avenues where the wealthy live"

although now the wealthy own many avenues they don't even live in - such as the flats in the Shard.

Aysen had been campaigning to save the Aylesbury council estate from Southwark Council for years

 A speaker from the RCG

Ian Bone of Class War speaks

and some of the protesters pose with Tower Bridge in the background for some of the photographers

and I take a few snaps too, including my shadow

then the protesters move on to CIty Hall
