Use of the mesh to treat incontinence and prolapse after childbirth
has been suspended in Scotland. The
campaigners want it suspended across the UK
Most of those in the campaign are suffereing becase of the mesh
They wear strips of blue mesh for the protest, and red hadscarves
with large white dots
which I think represent blood and the mesh
They say patients are not told about the yellow card scheme to report
problems - so problems don't get reported
'I've been meshed up by the NHS'
'100 years of votes for women - Now hear our voice - Sling The Mesh'
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig'
One poster shows a woman who talks about her pain being called hysterical
by a surgeon - which is what often happens
Many become disabled because of the mesh.
