Brixton, London. Sun 4 Feb 2018

Potent Whisper is interviewed for TV

Andrew Coopers banner for the event and his sculpture of the 4-headed monster that is Lambeth Labour Council

Sue Foster, Matthew Bennett, Council Leader Lib Peck and Jack Hopkins

They made some posters at a workshop before the event

 and these were handed out

Posters list the dangers of the work on the arches - Fire risk and particulates for businesses and people in the area

'Network Jail' - and the working is being carried out in breach of the planning conditions laid down by Lambeth Council

which the protesters are demanding they should enforce. Potent Whispher introduces the protest

and lays down why they are protesting - the fire risk,

problems with severely restricted emergency access

the general danger from dust and air pollution - which will make much trading impossible, particularly in food

and the particular hazard from asbestos removal - there are no safety measures to protect the local population

 'Property Developers Parasites!'

We get more detail on the problems from another of the campaigners

'Make it Safe - Shut This Down'
