Bingo and Dancing for Elephant & Castle

Southwark Council offices,London. Tue 30 Jan 2018

Blake Bloc banner - 'Opposition is True Friendship'

A resident from the Guiness Trust Estate brings good news about their campaign to save their homes

Claudia Turbet-Delof speaks for the Latin community

and for United Voices of the World, whose General Secretary Petros Elia is at the protest with other members

 Housing Action Southwark and Lambeth

UVW members pose with their banner

 and there is more dancing

Time for Bingo - and the caller with a Batman mask and cape

The numbers are called in Spanish and English...

and the winner is a Southwark resident originally from Poland - and gets the mask and cape as her prize

Piers Corbyn tells us he had a phone call from his younger brother, concerned about what is happening at the

Elephant and council estate demolition in Southwark - and speaks in front of a Momentum banner for Corbyn

Then its time for more people to dance

Finally Tanya Murat relays the news from the council meeting that the motion to refuse the development was not

put, and the matter has been deferred to give time for the developer to put forward a revised proposal - so the

struggle to get a solution that will work for the community continues.
