I met the march which had started from the BBC at Oxford Circus

Many carried flags or wore them for the YPG and other Kurdish groups
and there were Kurdistan flags, and those showing the national Kurdish
leader, Abdullah Ocalan, in Turkish jail since 1999

equality
Many of the women on the protest wore traditional headdresses and
scarves in the Kurdish colours

Many gave 'V' for Victory signs for the camera as I photographed

The red flag with the red star in a yellow circle with the green ring
is the official flag of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)
