Protests continue for Grenfell victims
Kensington Town Hall, London. Wed 24 Jan 2018
Andrew Cooper stands with his banner and posters. He holds a pair
of child's scissors which on of the protesters
left with him after the security men refused to let him take them into the
council meeting
A small group of RCG members remained outside and try to project images
on the wall
One says 'NO FAITH IN THE COUNCIL, but the projector isn't powerful
enough to show some of the images on the bricks
'Justice for Grenfell'
'Bring the Guilty to Account'
One of the local campaigners poses before with Andrew's banner before
going into the meeting
One of the RCG makes a short speech, outlining the main points of
their protest: Everyone who had to move out
should be rehoused locally with the same tenancy conditions (and why
is it taking so long), the guilty members of
the council, the TMO and those who made and fitted the flammable cladding
should be brought to justice, and
the inquiry should be led by the community.
