The mist rolled over us
and more came
The sky to the north-east was various shades of orange with a little
hint of blue
but in other directions it was grey cloud
Going down, either walking or on the sledge was rather faster
and the roads were now rather wet, the snow melting rapidly
Peak Tor apparently still shows the signs of early use as a camp or
settlement
but the sun was now shining onto my lens, just out of picture and
causing flare
The mill is on the River Wye, which runs into the Derment a short
distance away
The mill is still working, and on a previous visit we took the tour.
This time we just had lunch (the food is vegetarian.
but reasonably edible) before driving back to Belper by a rather scenic
route. Fortunately I wasn't driving as
I was finding it hard to stay awake after the meal.
