The march halted briefly on Ladbroke Grove where firefighters formed
a guard of honour
Many stopped to embrace and think the firefighters for their bravery
and persistence, saving many lives
though the building's modifications meant they were unable to save
more - and the building's managers had
deliberately prevented proper fire inspections to save costs.
As the front of the march moved on, I stayed on Ladbroke Grove
as the rest of the march passed
People kept coming to thank the firefighters
Housing is a right - and the Revolutionary Communist Group have been
actively campaigning to get the truth about Grenfell

I found the march moving, more so than the service I'd watched on
livestream earlier in the day
perhaps because I was actually here with the several thousand on the
march, and close to where the totally avoidable tragedy took place
A reminder that Grenfell is not the only issue that reflects the failure
to treat all lives as lives that matter.
