The Guardians of the Forest perform a dance in Palliament Square
They are in London before going to Bonn for the COP23 Climate talks,
where they will stress how keeping forests under their management rather
than
developing them is an essential factor in stopping climate change.
Traditional forests play a key role in removing
carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and producing oxygen in photosynthesis
The rally commemorate those who have lost their lives defending the
forests and they held up pictures of a few
of the many who have been murdered for the profit of unscrupulous companies
- including many listed on stock exchanges in London
And then there are a series of speeches about the need to protect
the forests from 'development' which destroys them
