A police officer tries to get Jane Nicholl to move
People who want to enter the shop are led in by police as protesters
shout at them. Some came out later and
told the protesters that they thought the "museum" was very
disappointing in the way it treated the murders
A man who had come out of the museum shouts at the protesters and
films them
London 4th Wave Feminists in cat masks speak at the event
Police lead another customer into the shop. At least with the protest
they get some authentic London experience
The feminists tell something of the story of the victims. Not much
is known about some, but they were all women
struggling to make a living, some with dependents. People from some
of their famiies still live in London and
are disgusted at the displays in the 'museum'.
A number of customers were deterred by the protest, and some stopped
to talk with protesters about why they
were there, and on hearing their comments decided to go away. Some
are misled by the museum publicity into
thinking this is a real museum. When told what it really is many lose
interest.
A police officer removes a Class War sticker - and tells protesters
that putting them on the glass is "criminal damage"
though they peel off easily without causing any damage, criminal or
otherwise to glass. Courts would probably
dismiss any charges as petty as the sticker is easily removed without
trace - as the officer demonstrates.
