No Faith in War DSEI Arms Fair protest

ExCeL Centre, London. Tue 5 Sep 2017

 At the West Gate people are walking slowly in front of lorries as they come towards the fair

 and police are coming to move them out of the way

 An officer pushes a woman carrying a Palestinian flag who doesn't want to move

 They walk in front of another lorry

 and the police drag them away

 using considerable force

 and one of the women is arrested

 Others are singing and holding posters up

 'Peace Begins Within - Not WIth Killing'

 Another protester walks very slowly in front of another lorry, carrying a Quaker peace banner

 Police walk towards her

 and move her away

 I go back to the East Gate

 where some of the Buddhists are praying and beating drums

 Protesters have brought small coffins with photographs of some of the children killed in war

 And an Anglican group has come to sing peace songs

 I decide it's time for me to go home
