A woman whose son is driving her past gets out to talk with the protesters.
She was a resident in Duke's Lodge
and had spent over £40,000 on the decor of her flat
She didn't want to leave, but was forced out
and tells us that there is no chance that the royal borough of Kensington
& Chelsea will buy the property from
the developers to develop as social housing. And she is almost certainly
right. RBKC are trying hard not to do
anything to help the former Grenfell Tower residents, more concerned with
avoiding blame for their appalling
failure to ensure the safety of the block and making decisions that made
it a disaster waiting to happen
