Newham Council tell Focus E15 they can't hold their protest here -
the land is owned by the council
which thy claim means it isn't council land
So who owns the council? Surely the people own the council, and certainly
the public have unfettered access to the area
where there is plenty of room for protests like this. But RObin Wales
- who took a 4% pay rise despite a public sector pay freeze
can't take people protesting against his policies - and the protesters
are issued with a £100 fixed penalty notice
'Over 400 empty homes on the Carpenters Estate'', homes in good condition
that famiies were moved out from over 10 years ago
despite a huge waiting list for homes - and Newham housing people
in cockroach-infested properties - temporary but sometiems for years
'More people are registered HOMELESS in Newham than anywhere else
in the country' while
huge numbers of luxury flats are built for foreign investors.
Focus E15 continue to throw a spotlight on the activities of Newham COuncil and Mayor Robin Wales, both a disgrace to the Labour movement
