These sites have been occupied by banks since 1819, though the
stone building dates from 1914 when I think it was Williams Deacon’s
Bank
The red brick is a small part of a larger bank building, I think from
before 1819 and at left is the 1979 extension
I banked at the Manchester branch of Williams Deacon’s Bank
in the 1960s
Bull Brow - bulls were baited in the RIver Roch near here
THe bank s now RBS
Lancashire Wallpaper & Paint Co. Sudden Mill, Rochdale
'A pub of Character and Tradition At the Heart of the Community' The Windmill
closed around 2009.
