May Day F**k Parade

London, Mon 1 May 2017

as police rushed towards the man holding the flare

They grabbed one of the men on the parade

and threw him to the ground

 where they sat on him

Police held back protesters and photographers, and attempts to de-arrest the man came to nothing

and surrounded by around 20 police he was led to a waiting van. There didn't seem to be any particular reason for
taking action at this point. There was certainly no danger to the public and it seemed just a deliberate attempt to
show the protesters that they were in charge. I wasn't sure that the many they arrested had actually set off the flare.

 The parade continued

going across the Strand and into Covent Garden

Protesters linked fllags to go along the street

Another flare was set off at Covent Garden

but mainly people just danced to the sound system

and then the parade went west towards Leicester Square

By this time I'd had enough, and decided it was time to leave for home
