The riverside walkway at Canning Town is open after many years,
and can take you to the bridge to London CIty Island
but the bridge over the DLR is still loocked and there is no way
out to the south, where the path was supposed to take you down towards
Trinity Buoy Wharf
People are living in some of the blocks but there is still a lot of
work continuing
The path does take you to the Ecology park
and you can walk back through that
and over the blue bridge
to get to the East India Dock Rd, but it's a long way round
and meant I had to hurry back to Canning Town Station
So I came back later to photograph from the north side of East India
Dock Rd
when the light was just beginning to fade
The pipe bridge by Cody Dock is just visible, as well as some buildings
at Stratford
where there are now many high-rise blocks of private flats
