Stop Unfair Eviction by Guinness

The Revolutionary Communist Group had a street stall close to Brixton Station
I walked past after taking a few pictures to see what was happening in the railway arches
Some are now boarded up
but others who have resisted eviction were still trading
Church members had come to sing facing the market opposite Electric Avenue
and on the other side of the railway there was the pop-up 'Pop Brixton'
Brixton Tools was still trading
Andrew points to his poster to explain what Guinness Trust are doing
demolishing estates of social housing and putting tenants into properties with unaffordable rents - and then evicting them
Beti is facing eviciton after being moved out by Guiness Trust - and her rent in the new property was more than double
what she had been paying. She got into problems paying and is being taken to court as Guinness want to evict her

They handed out leaflets on the street and many were shocked to hear what was happening
to Beti and others
