Save the Sunderbans Global Protest

Altab Ali Park, London. Sat 7 Jan 2017

The protesters line up in the corner of the park with banners and placards

Many have black stripes pmn their faces for the Bengal Tigers who live in the Sunderbans

and are one of the many species threatened by the development of the Rampal coal-fired power plant

Coal would be brought in from India up one of the rivers through the forest

to the power plant on the edge of the area, but within the zone around it where development

 is banned by law.

Everyone who wanted to speak was allowd to say wy they were opposed to the development
