Cockroaches at Theori Housing Management

Walthamstow, London. Fri 28 Oct 2016

The police, obviously rather amused, get the campaigners to stop pushing and

one officer goes inside while the other stays out with the protesters

One poster says that Theori has a £500m + portfolio of property

'Theori - putting children's lives at risk'

A coackroach collapses on the pavement in front fo the protesters

'Waltham Forest and Theori - Housing Misery'

Children get on with the Halloween party

and speeches and leaflets let people passing by know why the protest is taking place

Photographs showing the terrible state of Boundary House are blu-tacked to the door

and windows. The campaigners managed to stop the shutter being closed by standing in the way

Children post large plastic spiders through the letterbox

and then try to eat chocolate doughnuts hanging from strings without using their hands

 - or not much

A campaigner is dressed as a knight - John Knight, Assistant Director of Housing Solutions

at Waltham Forest Council, informed them that Boundary House "meets their required standards"

which must be extremely low if they allow cockroach infection, walls running with damp

and unguarded windows that children can fall out of on the upper floors
